I heeded the words of Ms. Bev and took the leap of faith! As a first time pregnant Mum, in the remote Himalayan foothills of India-I knew I did not have the resources I wanted for my first child. I could not find bilingual books, first and foremost. And the books that I could find when I did visit cosmopolitan cities-still did not reflect my unique situation. So here is my foray into bilingual books. I wrote the series "A is for Alok,"based on my memories of my son and the antics of our household; raising him in India as a white American housewife. The illustrations of my first book are almost finished and soon we will be working on the 2nd and 3rd books. Please consider helping us off the ground and launch this English/Hindi series!
